The Department of Bio and Health Informatics (DTU Bioinformatics), a newly established department at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), is looking for a well-qualified and highly-motivated team leader for daily management and development of the department's administration.
The most important task of the department’s administrative team is to support the researchers in order for them to concentrate on their core tasks; namely research, education, innovation and external collaboration. As administrative team leader, you should be able to manage and cooperate with people at all levels, as well as be able to create and run a coherent administrative support unit at the department.
Your key role will be to manage the financial and administrative activities of the department that runs multiple research projects, degree programs and two core infrastructure units.

The National Food Institute (DTU Food, www.food.dtu.dk) invites applications for a PhD position in the field of microbiology with focus on the microbial safety. The incumbent candidate will become part of a new EU project (AIR-SAMPLE), in which new lab methods will be developed and validated to combat Campylobacter in poultry production.
The PhD is an integrated part of a new EU project to develop and validate air sampling as a low-cost and multi-purpose alternative to faecal droppings or boot swabs. The project will provide the European community (authorities, industry) with a low-cost and harmonized tool for interventions and codes of best practices for Campylobacter monitoring and intervention.
The research includes molecular microbiology, metagenomics diagnostics, real-time PCR, and sampling statistics.
