Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive method to stimulate the brain, with several medical and research applications such as depression treatment.
A PhD position is available in the Nanomedicine Group headed by Thomas L. Andresen. In this position, your main task will be to assist in the development of organs-on-chips for drug modelling purposes. The prime focus here will be on the design and development of a human gut-on-a-chip, and you will work closely with chemists, biologists and clinicians to address this grand challenge.

DTU Chemical Engineering invites applications for a 3-year PhD position in Viscoelastic Response of Double Dynamics Polymer Networks under Transient Elongation.
Polymer gels and networks are ubiquitous in daily life with various applications (tissue engineering, sensors, drug delivery, etc.). In order to combine distinct features within the same material, new types of polymer networks with the combination of at least two dynamic modes are desired.
The objective of this PhD project is to understand the exact role of molecular parameters such as entanglements, dangling ends and chain architectures on the dynamics of Double Dynamics Networks (DDNs).

After more than 30 years of production the Tyra field requires redevelopment because of the subsidence of the chalk reservoir. This has led to the Tyra platforms sinking by around 5 metres since production started, and has reduced the gap between the sea and the platform decks.
Maersk Oil and it partners in the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC) are committed to progress a full redevelopment plan for the Tyra field.
A full redevelopment will restore important North Sea gas infrastructure of pipelines and platforms. Tyra will continue to be the hub for export of Danish North Sea gas to shore.
The new asset ensures continued production from the Tyra field and the surrounding satellite fields.

The research focus of the group is on diet, nutrition and health promotion, including designing and conducting The Danish National Survey of Diet and Physical Activity and the implementation and evaluation of real-life interventions focusing on increasing healthy eating and sustainable food production.
The PhD candidate will take part in the collection of data at both baseline and endpoint visits in 2018. You will be engaged in all part of the intervention with special focus on processing dietary data, assessing compliance, performing salt-taste sensitivity and preference test, as well as being in charge of dietary counselling during the intervention.
