You will be responsible for organising and maintaining our laboratories, ordering and keeping track of chemicals and consumables, and overviewing safe operating procedures. Laboratory tasks include sample registration and preparation for different analyses, conducting analyses, e.g. histology using different staining techniques and digitisation, molecular analyses including RNA/DNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, primer design and qPCR, and assisting in experimental studies of fishes.
PhD scholarship in Supramolecular and Bioorganic Chemistry - DTU Chemistry
A 3-year PhD scholarship in supramolecular and bioorganic chemistry is available at the Technical University of Denmark.
The project will explore the use of enzyme-catalysed reactions in templated dynamic covalent synthesis – combining supramolecular chemistry and enzymology in a biotechnological approach to oligosaccharide synthesis.
Your work could include:
- the design, organic synthesis and characterisation of molecular building blocks, templates and mechanically-interlocked structures;
- enzymatic synthesis and analysis of dynamic systems of oligosaccharides;
Senior Technical Service Engineer, Global Hydrocracking
This is an opportunity to join a team, where we support the sale of catalysts and technologies that can help our customers world-wide in producing environmentally friendly fuels.
You will be involved in the technical part of the catalyst sales process preparing technical proposals and performance evaluations for our customers’ hydrocracking units. You will participate in internal projects to improve our calculation tools and knowledge creation within the field of upgrading heavy fossil and renewable hydrocarbons into valuable products.
PhD scholarship: Computational Prediction of Nuclear Fission Products Behavior in a Molten Salt Reactor – DTU Chemistry
A 3-year PhD scholarship concerned with the use of computer simulation for predicting fission products (FP) behavior – such as solubility – in a Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) is available.
In the SolveMSR project – funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark – we will work towards creating a computational framework for predicting FP behavior in the fuel salt matrix of MSRs. We will benchmark the framework against experimental data.
PhD scholarship in Magnetothermal energy harvesting from waste heat - DTU Energy
Do you want to contribute to a future where we can harvest energy from waste heat using a novel magnetothermal device, that you will get to help realize? If yes, this PhD-position is exactly for you.
Your role as a PhD student will be to design, model and build an experimental magnetothermal energy harvesting device setup where we can test new designs of the various sub-components of the systems. The project has many aspects. You will work on building the device and testing this, but working on a numerical model of the system is also a potential option.
PhD positions in Compositional Simulation of Reactive Transport in CO2 Storage - DTU Chemistry
Centre for Energy Resources Engineering (CERE) at DTU Chemistry is seeking talented PhD students to contribute to our exciting CO2 storage research in the project Compositional Simulation of Reactive Transport in CO2 Storage (CompReact).
The CompReact project has two PhD positions. The students will work on the improvement of the calculation algorithms for multiphase reactions, the integration of the multiphase reaction module into a CO2 storage simulator, and simulation analysis using the developed simulator.
Postdoc in Biotechnology – DTU Chemical Engineering
Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering invites applications for a position as Post Doctoral Fellow to be hired within the frame of a project on biogas conversion to single cell protein in the form of methylotrophic bacteria, where optimising synergistic microbial interactions is a key element.
Project focus is on recovery of nutrients from the biogas digestate by microbial or electrochemical methods.
PhD scholarships on “Live” Visualizations of Single Nanoparticle Catalysts at the Atomic-Scale - DTU Physics
Could you envision “seeing” chemical reactions being catalyzed at the atomic-scale? Two or more scholarships are now open for experimental research in nanoparticle catalysis using advanced operando electron microscopy at the Center for Visualizing Catalytic Processes (VISION).
VISION is developing and applying a new unique platform for visualizing catalytic nanoparticles and reactions at the atomic-level by integrating cutting-edge electron microscopy, microfabricated nanoreactors, nanoparticle synthesis and computational modelling. This approach enables new, direct operando observations that are urgently needed to advance mechanistic insight into catalytic processes at the atomic-scale.
Manager, Chemical Substance Registration
The Manager, Chemical Substance Registration is accountable for implementing and executing the chemical control compliance programs of IFF in the EAME region (UK, EU REACH, Turkey REACH, EAEU etc.) for the technical enzymes’ portfolio of products (Biofuels, Fabric & Household Care, Textile Processing and Designed Enzymatic Polysaccharides).
The Manager, Chemical Substance Registration is furthermore a key contact for the Enzyme Business in determining strategic business decisions and should be representing IFF in industry work groups to assure IFF’s regulatory interests.
Postdoctoral positions in Sustainability, Genomics, Microbiology, and Bioinformatics/Data Science - DTU Biosustain
DTU Biosustain is actively seeking candidates for postdoctoral roles in fields such as sustainability, genomics, microbiology, and bioinformatics/data science.
We welcome applications from researchers in these or related fields, especially those focusing on large-scale data integration using advanced technologies (e.g., long-read, single-cell, microscopy, metabolic) for sustainable food and agricultural production.
