Department Manager for Histology

We are seeking a dedicated Department Manager to lead our Histology department. The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership abilities and a passion for managing and developing teams, preferably with a background in Histology. 

The Histology department is committed to delivering high-quality histological data within all Gubra’s research areas, including MASH, obesity, metabolic and fibrotic disorders. Our growing team consists of 7 scientists and 5 laboratory technicians who work collaboratively across Gubra and provides valuable, decision-making data for customer studies as well as internal projects.

Principal DMPK Scientist

Currently, we are looking for a new principal DMPK scientist, who has experience in supporting discovery and development projects in characterization and selection of drug candidates.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and manage in vitro, and in vivo experiments to evaluate the ADME and PK profiles as well as toxicokinetics of drug candidates both in-house and at contract research organizations
• Develop and execute assays for measuring drug concentration and metabolite identification from in vitro and in vivo experiments

Join us on our mission to monitor and promote health of fish and shellfish, with special focus on sustainable aquaculture.

You will be working within bacteriology and microbiology with emphasis on host-pathogen interactions and disease prophylaxis in fish. The focus will be the fish pathogen Flavobacterium psychrophilum and bacteriophages as a prophylactic control measure against disease outbreaks with this important pathogen in aquaculture.

Your work will be part of externally funded research projects, among them the IFD Grand Solutions project AQUAPHAGE Towards a sustainable aquaculture: Phage-based solutions for disease prevention in rainbow aquaculture.
