PhD scholarship: Computational Prediction of Nuclear Fission Products Behavior in a Molten Salt Reactor – DTU Chemistry

A 3-year PhD scholarship concerned with the use of computer simulation for predicting fission products (FP) behavior – such as solubility – in a Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) is available.

In the SolveMSR project – funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark – we will work towards creating a computational framework for predicting FP behavior in the fuel salt matrix of MSRs. We will benchmark the framework against experimental data.

External Lecturer – “Medical Biotechnology and Drug Development” – DIS Copenhagen

The teaching position is for the fall semester, which will begin in August. You will teach highly motivated undergraduate students from North American universities who are spending a semester studying in Copenhagen.

PhD scholarship – Fungi and Plant-based alternatives for meat and dairy - DTU Food

The PhD project will be a part of an Alliance PhD project between Tecnológico de Monterrey (TEC) and DTU Food. Additionally, you as a candidate will work on a project called REPLANTED that is funded by AgriFoodTure consisting of partners covering the whole value chain from academia and large enterprises.

The PhD will be obtaining new knowledge on the use of fungi mycelium in Plant-based alternatives for meat and dairy. Additionally, the PhD will look at fungi mycelium fermentation and valorization of waste streams from the food industries.

PhD scholarship in Fish Bacteriology and Prophylaxis with specific Emphasis on Bacteriophages as a Control Method – DTU Aqua

Join us on our mission to monitor and promote health of fish and shellfish, with special focus on sustainable aquaculture.

You will be working within bacteriology and microbiology with emphasis on host-pathogen interactions and disease prophylaxis in fish. The focus will be the fish pathogen Flavobacterium psychrophilum and bacteriophages as a prophylactic control measure against disease outbreaks with this important pathogen in aquaculture.

Your work will be part of externally funded research projects, among them the IFD Grand Solutions project AQUAPHAGE Towards a sustainable aquaculture: Phage-based solutions for disease prevention in rainbow aquaculture.

Laboratory technologist / technician - DTU Aqua

The position is affiliated to the section for Marine Living Resources with main tasks related to the research area Fish Biology.

You will be responsible for organising and maintaining our laboratories, ordering and keeping track of chemicals and consumables, and overviewing safe operating procedures. Laboratory tasks include sample registration and preparation for different analyses, conducting analyses, e.g. histology using different staining techniques and digitisation, molecular analyses including RNA/DNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, primer design and qPCR, and assisting in experimental studies of fishes.
