We are looking for a skilled and experienced Research Engineer who will work with X-ray imaging techniques in a range of projects, including collaborations with different industries.
The successful candidate will work at the Imaging Industry Portal part of the 3D Imaging Center. The position is at the NEXMAP section at DTU Physics and the work will be in strong connection to the LINX project. The LINX (Linking Industries to Neutrons and X-rays) project aims at extending the existing research methods within material science using neutrons and X-rays to solve industry relevant research and development problems.
The DTU part of the LINX project is focusing on X-ray and neutron imaging techniques for material characterization. The job tasks range from planning, monitoring and working on subprojects within the LINX project to participating in other commercial and academic projects carried out at the 3D Imaging Center.
We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Specialist to join our highly international team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain), Technical University of Denmark, and become part of the “Bacterial Synthetic Biology” section.
The successful candidate will support the bacterial strain engineering and testing section and will provide the highest standard of technical support in day-to-day activities of the research scientists: The work includes assisting with and independently conducting experiments including
- cloning and characterization (aerobic and anaerobic growth profiling; media preparation, testing production of heterologous compounds / proteins) of bacteria including E. coli and various gut microbes
An assistant professor position is available in the Colloids and Biological Interfaces (CBIO) group headed by Professor Thomas L. Andresen, DTU Nanotech, the Technical University of Denmark, Kgs. Lyngby. The assistant professorship is a permanent entry-level faculty position.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Data Manager for a permanent part-time position.
As a Data Manager, you will be expected to lead, facilitate and coordinate data acquisition and data management procedures for both the IMI funded DIRECT and the “Danish Next Generation Sequencing and Bioinformatics Platform for Precision Medicine’s Projects". The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain) is looking for an experienced Business Development Director to facilitate execution of the Center’s translational mission emphasizing the exploitation of the commercialization potential of the possible drug candidates produced by the DTU Biosustain cell factory platforms.
Given the interesting opportunities that lie within the Centre’s ability to produce many compounds in a variety of cell platforms, we need to strengthen the business development efforts in order to successfully commercialize therapeutic business opportunities.

The New Bioactive Compound (NBC) section of DTU Biosustain is dedicated to finding the next generation of antimicrobial lead compounds by integrating innovative screening approaches, computational biology and metabolic engineering.
The section owns a proprietary collection of actinomycetes that produce bioactive compounds, plus access to another large actinomycete collection through our collaborators. The chemistry laboratory specialist will work as part of a team of other chemists and microbiologists to screen these two strain collections to identify novel compounds with antibacterial activity.
The primary tasks for this position are:
- Chemical extraction and HPLC purification of biological samples to identify bioactive compounds
- HPLC method development

Within the Novo Nordisk Foundation funded Challenge Grant project “Integration of Informatics and Metabolic Engineering for the discovery of Novel Antibiotics (IIMENA)" we are currently setting up a streamline pipeline in collaboration with international partner institutions from Spain and South Korea.
Within the IIMENA project, we will identify a huge number of actinomycetes producing bioactive compounds against our panel of clinical test organisms.
Within the project, you will be responsible for
- Coordinating the genome-sequencing of interesting actinomycete producer strains at commercial sequencing providers and the internal DTU Biosustain NGS sequencing lab; the task includes genome (hybrid) assembly and the annotation of sequence data.
- Genome mining for secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters.

This particular position is related to a basic science project on protein phosphorylation in the bacterium Bacillus subtilis. The project will be related to the question of how relatively few kinases in bacteria can control the phosphorylation state of a large number of substrate proteins. The experimental approach will entail mass spectrometry-based quantitative phosphoproteomics which will lead into functional characterization, both in vitro and in vivo, of select phosphoproteins.
The successful candidate will be expected to independently conduct the experimental work in this project. This entails design, execution, and analysis of phosphoproteomics experiments. Functional characterisation of individual phosphorylation events will be conducted in vitro using proteins produced in and purified from E. coli.
