Your new role
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of the Rare Disease Therapy Area to serve as a trusted advisor and drive key strategic initiatives and operational activities within Research and Early Development (R&ED) and the rest of the value chain in Novo Nordisk. You will be a key member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CVP.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CVP of Rare Disease Therapy Area, with sparring and support to the CVP as well as the Leadership Team
  • Establish and maintain a robust network within R&ED and the Rare Disease organisation with HR Business Partners, senior leaders etc.
  • Leading organisational development processes (ODP) and goal-setting initiatives in alignment with Novo Nordisk’s broader objectives
  • Conducting project portfolio analyses to ensure strategic fit and prioritisation
  • Planning and organising annual events, agenda preparation and presentation delivery, which includes organising and driving the agenda at the regular leadership team meetings across different therapy areas and R&ED
  • Representing the CVP and Rare Disease Therapy Area in relevant meetings, steering groups, and partnerships
  • Identifying and implementing best practices to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement

Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in life sciences or engineering. Preferably combined with a degree in business related field, e.g. MBA
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a background in R&D, project management, consultancy, or business development
  • Experience in business analysis, strategy development, and project portfolio management within complex stakeholder environments
  • Proven ability to lead cross-organisational initiatives across geographical and cultural boundaries. As well as, excellent stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience engaging with executive and senior-level stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal

As a person, you bring a strategic and creative mindset, with strong analytical and data-driven capabilities. You communicate clearly and confidently, with the ability to challenge and advise executive leadership. You have strong project management skills and a high level of energy to lead and drive initiatives forward. Furthermore, you are proactive and possess a high level of perseverance.
