About the job
As a Software Quality Engineer in DEIF’s UX & Cloud Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the quality of our advanced software products. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and system engineers to design, develop, and execute regression test cases for UI and cloud solutions. Your expertise will help us deliver intuitive, reliable, and high-performing user experiences for our customers.

“To succeed in this role, you must thrive on technical challenges and have proven experience in UI testing for software applications, ideally in embedded systems. In close collaboration with DEIF’s specialists and test manager, you’ll help establish a scalable and efficient test infrastructure in the UX & Cloud Team”, explains Vice President, Allan Agerholm.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing, and executing regression test cases for UI in our software
  • Implementing automated test scripts to validate UI workflows, usability, and system behaviour.
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation of UI functionality
  • Optimising test coverage through risk-based testing approaches and reusable test automation frameworks
  • Ensuring test results are well-documented and reproducible
  • Participating in code reviews, test strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

The software team works in Agile sprints of 2 weeks, allowing for frequent feature delivery and continuous feedback. The team you’ll join consists of 19 skilled software designers and developers, collaborating closely to deliver advanced and reliable products.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a passionate engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and is committed to driving software quality. You thrive in a collaborative, agile environment where progress is driven by shared ideas and teamwork. In addition to this, you bring:

  • Experience with UI testing and software quality assurance, ideally in embedded systems or cloud-based solutions
  • Hands-on skills in Python, JavaScript, and test automation frameworks (e.g. Pytest, Playwright, Cypress)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile/SCRUM methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of ISTQB or TMAP certification, performance testing, or device-level testing is a plus.
