Across departments, across Europe

DSV is divided into 3 overall divisions: Road, Air & Sea and Solutions. You will report directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP) Road responsible for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).

You will also work closely with other members of the German management team, the Group in Denmark, the CEO of the Road division, and other stakeholders. While working principally out of our offices in Hamburg, you should expect upwards of 60 days of travel per year to locations across Europe, most often with the EVP.

Right hand to the EVP

You are the vital assistance that our EVP needs. You will ensure that communication and information is prioritized at all levels of the organisation, and together with the EVP, you will continuously work across various strategic areas to ensure business growth, both operationally and financially. You are always a few steps ahead in your work, making sure that the executives can focus on the here and now.

In this position, you can expect to be:

• Researching and compiling financial modelling and business case presentations with actionable intelligence to present to key decision-makers
• Gathering market data for planning infrastructural road maps and following up to ensure things are executed according to planning and scheduling
• Compiling communication plans to create clear lines of sight on strategic initiatives from the executive, management, and operational levels
• Coordinating, attending, and taking minutes at key meetings of the directorate, management groups, and other relevant stakeholders
• Taking responsibility for and coordinating M&A integration and being the link to our PMO/BCM department
• Collaborating with representatives from the Air & Sea divisions to ensure relevant cooperation

At the same time, you take pride in delivering top-quality work, whether it’s sending a few PowerPoint slides to a local branch manager or presenting strategic overhauls to a director.

Aside from the personal qualifications, we would also prefer that you:

• Have relevant experience from a similar corporate or business-side role, perhaps in project management, operations, finance, or the like
• Hold a relevant master’s degree, preferably within business administration, international business, economics, finance, or the like
• Are fluent in both spoken and written English and Danish, and conversationally proficient in German
