Our first product and platform technology are based on naturally occurring lipopeptides with proven efficacy against a range of fish parasites. Job Description

We seek a highly motivated CHEMICAL or PROCESS ENGINEER for our research laboratory in Copenhagen. The primary responsibility of this position will be, 1) to optimize and scale-up our bacterial fermentation process working side by side with our microbiologist, 2) to establish and scale-up an appropriate purification and downstream process for cost-effective manufacturing of our first product, 3) to ensure the DSP output can be readily formulated into desired products and meet regulatory requirements. The work will involve designing and building the fermentation setup (5-1000L scale) with pH and temperature control, agitation, aeration etc. as well as the purification setup, using fx. extraction, filtration, and drying.

The position will give intellectual and hands-on challenge and rich possibilities to develop your skill sets as well as being part of commercially and scientifically exciting projects. Being involved in fermentation work may require some off-hour work, flexibility, and the ability to adjust to a rolling sampling schedule.

The ideal Candidate Possesses:

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Biotechnology
  • Experience with natural product or another small molecule purification
  • Competence and interest in hands-on establishment of technical solutions
  • An inventive and flexible mind set and the inclination to quickly put ideas to practice
  • Experience with microbial fermentation (batch, fed batch and/or continuous processes)
