Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer Nordics, the Regulatory Affairs Officer is accountable for ensuring strategic and operational excellence of the Medical Affairs Neuroscience team. This individual will be responsible for a team of Medical Affairs professionals spanning both in-house and field-based associates who are responsible for medical strategy, medical information and publications/communications.

The position includes involvement with regional and global medical affairs and development colleagues, marketing and sales, including conduct of field force training, scientific material development and review, presentations and leadership of advisory boards, medical communications strategy development and implementation, and meetings with major healthcare providers. Leadership and innovative tactics will be an important focus.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Nordic coordination of IPS (Integrated Product Strategy) input
  • Coordination of local studies
  • Drive the Nordic Medical Strategic and Tactical Plans, including budget management
  • Manage direct reports in all Nordic countries
  • Participates in gathering clinical insights to therapy area
  • Provides a source of key medical knowledge on the company’s products
  • Builds professional relationships with country level, and Nordic, medical experts and participates on cross-functional internal teams
  • Works within Integrity and Compliance policies and ensures those around him/her do the same
  • Works to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • M.D. preferred or University degree in bioscience. PhD desired
  • Fluent in English essential. Nordic country language preferable
  • Experience in a leadership role in Medical function with a strong track record of a delivery focus for time and quality in clinical development projects and medical affairs
  • In-depth understanding of the Pharma market place including key dynamics, competitors, country regulatory and market environments
  • In-depth understanding of the Business Franchise products from a scientific and commercial perspective
  • Knowledge of local and global processes in Clinical and Medical Affairs, as well as country specific regulatory pharmacovigilance, ethical and legal guidelines
  • Accomplished medical and cutting-edge scientific clinical understanding
  • Deep understanding of drug development and approval processes, incl. experience designing and/or executing clinical studies to address local/global requirements
  • Results-driven and experience in working in matrix, complex environment
  • Superior leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to effectively lead and coach scientific/medical professionals
