MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is looking for a NPI Engineer to join our NPI department (New Product Introduction) at the Nacelle Factory on Lindø, Denmark. With reference to the NPI Manager, you can look forward to an exciting, busy and challenging job.

Tasks & responsibilities: You will...

... focus on the changes coming through the Engineering Change Management (ECM) system. You will be a driving factor in ensuring that the BoM for new products is created in time and in a good quality, challenging the departments Product Development and Product Lifecycle Management. You will keep the overview of future changes and their impact on the production.

You will also:

  • Facilitate the product launching and work together with Product Development during design/development of new products/mark releases to identify and address DFM risks and design mistakes, meet product cost targets
  • Cooperate with Product Development and review and challenge the design solutions they are presenting
  • Lead test assemblies of new products and evaluate on findings
  • Find and propose optimisations for the product to support the production process
  • Participate in the PFMEA process
  • Create the base line for the routing and allocation of materials
  • Prepare the needed documentation for the Process Work Instruction team to write PWIs prior to start of production

Skills & experience: Our new colleague...

... has 2-10 years of experience within New Product Introduction for manufacturing. You can design, run and evaluate trails and prepare the technical reports. As a person, you are structured and systematic, and you work independently and proactively. You can identify manufacturing risks in future designs and visualise how new designs should be assembled.

We expect that you:

  • Are a Mechanical Engineer, Production Engineer or similar
  • Can adapt to changes quickly
  • Speak, read and write Danish and English
  • Have knowledge of EMC processes and PLM systems
  • Have solid Excel and PowerPoint skills (preferred, not required)
